Wevarsity Sacco was founded and registered in 2/10/2003 under the Co-operative Societies Act. Cap 490 as a Sacco Society with CS no 10243.its core areas of business include the mobilization of savings provision of credit and welfare facilities to its members Since inception, Wevarsity Sacco Membership has grown to 1,078 active members as at 31st September 2011. The growth of the Society has also been experienced in the volume of loans and in the annual turnover. The Society core are, Integrity, Efficiency and effectiveness, Professionalism, Impartiality, Innovation and creativity and Corporate social responsibility(CSR).The Society puts its values into practice through voluntary and open membership, democratic member control, member economic participation, autonomy and independence, education, co-operation, and concern for the community.
